Service Description

In this 3-hour intensive introduction to performance, students will be introduced to essential skills used in both theatre and everyday speaking — including projection, clear enunciation, stage presence, and beginning techniques for memorising text. Through fun, high-energy theatre activities, children will build confidence, self-awareness, teamwork, social skills, and self-discipline in a supportive and encouraging environment. We are so excited to be collaborating with Shawn Ku (website shawnku.com) — an award-winning writer, producer, and actor who has starred in Broadway musicals — for our very first theatre camp collaboration. He holds degrees from Harvard University and USC, where he earned an MFA in Film Production. He has 3 beautiful children with his husband Robert and they moved to Haarlem a year ago. Cassandra brings a background in poetry, speech, and drama, with prize-winning performances at one of Ireland’s leading competitive arts festivals. She has performed and taught extensively. She holds a law degree from UCD and a Higher Diploma in Education from Trinity College Dublin. She has been living in the Netherlands for 4 years now with her husband Steve and their daughter. Together they bring a wealth of experience and passion to this new and exciting collaboration.
