Meet Cassandra
Born and raised in Ireland, Cassandra’s first classroom was her garden, where play sparked storytelling and curiosity blossomed into learning. Education was always at the heart of her family home, with evenings spent around the kitchen table helping one another with homework, sharing ideas, and exploring whatever had inspired them that day. Even as a child, Cassandra loved turning playdates into lessons and filling notebooks with imagined curriculums.
Her journey has taken her far beyond her hometown, including time spent as an expat child in Saudi Arabia, where she was homeschooled by her mother alongside her younger brother. True to her nature, Cassandra often took on the role of teacher, guiding her brother through lessons and inventing creative activities for them both. These early experiences shaped her lifelong belief in the power of nurturing, personalised learning environments.
Although she began her professional path in law, Cassandra soon discovered her true calling in education. She retrained as a primary school teacher and has spent more than 13 years teaching internationally, focusing on English literacy, speech and drama, social-emotional learning, and positive discipline approaches to behaviour. For the past eight years, she has also been a certified Positive Discipline Parent Educator, leading workshops and information evenings in schools to share tools and strategies that support positive, connected parenting.
Cassandra’s passion lies in supporting children individually or in small groups, helping them unlock their potential and develop the self-belief to thrive both in and beyond the classroom. Having witnessed education’s many trends, she knows that what truly matters are the core skills of literacy, numeracy, and emotional intelligence. Through Cassandra’s Creative Classroom, she is dedicated to keeping these foundations at the heart of her teaching in today’s fast-paced, screen-filled world.

CONNECTION
Cassandra’s teaching blends the best of both worlds: kind and firm, research-based structure with joyful creativity. Her approach is rooted in Positive Discipline and built to support each child’s unique learning style—whether they’re early readers, bilingual learners, or budding writers.
She believes children learn best when they feel safe, seen, and supported.
That’s why every lesson is designed to build confidence, spark curiosity, and meet children exactly where they are.
Built with Families in Mind
A Space for Expat and Multilingual Kids to Thrive in Haarlem
When Cassandra moved to the Netherlands, she saw a gap: a lack of structured English literacy support for children growing up in multilingual homes. Families like hers needed more than a casual playgroup—but not a full-time international school.
So she built the space she couldn’t find. Cassandra’s Creative Classroom is her way of giving children the tools to succeed—and giving parents peace of mind that their child’s education is in expert, caring hands.
